Welcome to the Thomistic Institute at NYU!
The New York University Chapter of the Thomistic Institute seeks to bring Catholic truth to NYU, and to deepen the intellectual formation of Catholic students and other members of the NYU community. We especially offer programming to expand knowledge of theological and philosophical thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor of the Church.
The Chapter hosts several public lectures and conferences each year, and organizes smaller events reserved for students. Past speakers have included noted scholars, including Fr. Thomas Joseph White, O.P., Patrick Deneen, J. Budziszewski, Edward Feser, Rusty Reno, Marie George, and Fr. Dominic Legge, O.P., among others.
We are a local chapter of the Thomistic Institute, which is affiliated with the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. The Catholic Center at NYU has hosted Thomistic Institute events for many years, and an official student-led Chapter was established in 2018.

Although my once and future home is in the cornfields of the Midwest, I have thoroughly enjoyed my years in New York City. In particular, I am grateful for the relationships I have formed, and the opportunities I have had at the Catholic Center at NYU that have been instrumental in helping me rediscover my faith since coming to college, and I am excited to serve the NYU community in this position. Besides Thomism, I enjoy coffee, good books of all types, good art of all types, and exploring New York City.
